Although i think (know) she's a huge guilty pleasure (no pun intended), and always feel a bit embarassed when caught reading one of her books...But, i've never been truly embarassed to be a fan. Until now. This book is absolutely horrible. Not a plot in sight. Basically, page after page of Micah (so incredibly boring. worst character, by far). It reads like a penthouse letter. In fact, worse than a penthouse letter, since it never even reaches sexy, no matter how hard Hamilton tries. Or rather, how hard she doesn't try. It feels like no effort went into this book at all. Where's the crime? where's the whodunnit? Just Micah and Anita, and a lot of incredibly boring sex. I'm too scared to read the next novel in the series, although i own it. Hamilton just keeps getting worse, book by book. SKIP IT. Maybe danse macabre is good, i don't know. But please skip this book, no matter how big of a fan you are. There isn't a good part about it. Well, except that it's nice & short, instead of the 300+ pages of boring sex in Incubus Dreams, you get about 100.
