A really lame romance that we read by mistake.
A book about heroes who truly didn't think they were heroes. Knew the movie was coming out, so had to read this first. Told from the perspective of the son of one of the flagraisers, half of whom died at Iwo Jima, and the rest were not too excited to talk about it.
One of Thing 1 & Thing 2's favorites; one of those rare books that makes both children and adults laugh. Highly recommend, especially for boys.
Covering 7 forms of script-based form creation, it gives a good summary of the current techniques used in architecture theses days. A pity then that the website supporting this book is (as of now) still under construction, because it would have been an excellent platform to download the open-source scripts and fiddle with them. Whether or not the current craze with digital architecture (and Deleuze in general) is just a fad, this book is an useful introduction to the techniques currently employed by major architects around the world.
