Got about half way through this book when there was a very graphic rape scene. That's when I stopped reading it.

After hearing so much praise, I was disappointed by this book. Coelho is hugely popular in India; many people here find him inspirational. I didn't really feel the same. The story was okay. The musings and philosophical revelations not particularly innovative or revelatory. The book is a very short read so might be work a try to see if you like it.
