** spoiler alert ** Alice in Wonderland is one of my absolute favorite books and the story behind it is just as amazing! I really enjoyed this book but there were some things that bothered me. I hated that they hint that Dodgson's love for Alice was inappropriate a.k.a. pedaphileish! If a man enjoying hanging out with children is inappropriate then what does that make a male kindergarten teacher!! As for the photographs, I did not find them creepy at all but the innocence of childhood captured beautifully. It is just so sad that their friendship was torn apart and because his journals are missing pages, we will never really know what really happened. I actually really enjoyed the afterward which talked about the tragic lives of other literary children. It is amazing the Alice went on to live such a wonderful life when other kids found such tragic ends. I would recommend this book to lovers of Alice in Wonderland or people who just like to know the story behind the story!
