I never dreamed I'll ever read this book or any other of the Bond series, but now I'm determined to read them all. It all started with me watching the 'Casino Royal' 2006 screen version, which I rather enjoyed, so I decided to take a go at the book and loved it too. Though it was a bit odd to take in this original version due to the switch in the timeline - having the USSR as the main enemy - seems a bit old-fashioned to a person as young as I am. Besides I've been born in Soviet Union and therefore it is hard to believe that their spies were 'cool' enough to do anything with Bond, James Bond. But the book is quite sensual and entertaining, and the characters are bordering on the coldheartedness and real love enough to make me fall for them.
