Andris Zieds Zieds itibaren Conniburrow, Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes, Spojené kráľovstvo
Another interesting novel by T.A. Barron (wrote lost years of merlin series) but rather vague in storyline. It wasn't until twenty pages near the end did I realize exactly what was going on besides minor events. However, I did enjoy the concepts of tree spirits known as tree ghouls and an ability I've never really thought of. Not bad overall, but not something I'd read over and over again either.
It is a surprisingly funny piece of prose. Sherbo has a light, humorous touch to his accounts of these lesser-known eighteenth-century Shakespearans. It gives a good sense of the wide circle of scholars that contributed to the early anthologies. He is fairly critical of more recent editions that fail to look into this era of study, but does it in a polite, cheerful way (much in line with the work of some of his subjects). It is, however, an emendation (of his previous work)about emendations of Shakespeare in the eighteenth century. If you are interested in this subject, his earlier work would probably be a better place to start.
