This book is the 2nd in a new series by Patricia Briggs. There are your typical werewolves and vampires, but the led character, Mercy, is a skinwalker, which is a shapeshifter that can shift into a coyote and is mostly immune to vampiric powers. THe plot is strong and the villians are bad enough to really show off the hero's strenghs. I really like this series so and can't wait for the next book to come out. I rate this candy for the brain.
