I've had this on my to read list for a while, and got lucky to find it on CD at the Library. Usually I don't care for male readers, but I enjoyed this one. I enjoyed this story and the way it was written. As an avid teenage journal-writer, I often imagined that I was writing to a very dear friend rather than on pieces of blank paper. Though my time as a teenager was different in every way from Charlies, I felt he was a very sympathetic character. I cheered for his success and was sad when he was. I loved all the references to the books Charlie's teacher had him read, and I found myself wanting to jot down the titles so I could go read them!

I really loved this book. I could actually hear Owen's voice.
