Every since I read the Bell Jar as a sophomore in high school I've been in love with Sylvia Plath. This is actually where my love of psychology and counseling first showed up in my life-- through her poetry, journals and books. She is a beautiful writer, who remains true to herself throughout her work. Her honesty and creativity are what make her reads so enticing. She is unlike any other author I have read to date. She was a fearless author for her time & was married to famous naturalist poet Ted Hughes.
The plot was never boring. The characters gracefully transitioned to different roles they had to play . Though there were parts that are redundant. Same course of event through the eyes of different characters. Between reading, I was close to throwing this book because the author has this queer habit of butchering my favorite characters. Near its ending, the story somehow mustered a little strength to redeem for the loss. **COMMENTS BELOW CONTAINED SPOILERS..READ AT YOUR OWN RISK**
