What a wonderful book that manages to still tackle some bigger issues. This is a very quick read that is uplifting (despite being about a polygamous family) and tackles some issues about how developing countries tackle the melding of the new and the old. The only real male character is quite bumbling, not very smart and quite manipulated by two of his wives so I don't think this would appeal to a male audience. But the coming of age story of the main character is encouraging.
