In this non-conformative business novel, the protagonist Alex Rogo is a plant manager whose factory and marriage are failing. As he struggles to revitalize the plant and rekindle the dwindling flame of his marriage, he bumps into a former college professor whose piecemeal advice sets Alex on a journey of self discovery through the theory of ongoing improvement. This is a refreshing book for readers looking to broaden their outlook on running a plant that are tired of the text book model of teaching. The format instead is that of a novel where economic restraints are understood by way of allegory and the passion that once existed between Alex and his wife may never be understood at all...
I started out really liking this, but it just got tedious after a while.
Between the covers lie 219 pages of very well-written sentences. Who cares? Nothing happened, nothing moved me.
fantastic! I was getting my certification in teaching while I was reading this, and it was inspiring and motivating. I recommend this to everyone, a real eye opener about the way Pakistan functions both educationally and politically!
