i first read "dear john" before this, and i noticed a lot of similarities with nicholas sparks' novels. like the use of the words: "sweet tea", "chapel hill", "porpoise", "the dunes"..and the list goes on. i can't but wonder how nicholas sparks has such insight to how to make a girl cry her heart out. he is such an amazing story teller. this was an outstanding book. a perfect edition to his most glorious set of novels. i laughed, cried, went through all the emotions with these characters..i fell in love with them all.
