Very engaging young adult characters with enough storyline and creative imagery to appeal to adult readers. Very feel good book that is being made into a movie currently.

Something about this book was strangely addicting to me, so I read it in one sitting and now I am thinking of a proper review for it. It didn't blow me away but I loved the realism. I loved the flawed family and their individual personalities. I really liked that it wasn't "cookie cutter" YA, where someone has to be perfect or the book won't pan out right. This is a book about real people and their feelings and their craziness. I really liked Charlie but I really dislike people who are passive aggressive, it just annoys the heck out of me! Anyway, I like the lessons that he has to learn by the end of the book, and I was left feeling like "Charlie is going to be okay."
