Regency romance at its best. Frederica at 24 is in charge of her siblings. She has an excellent sense of humor and no interest in marriage. Her sister is beautiful, her younger brothers charming. The Marquis hates to be bored and is excellent at set-downs, but the family appeals to him. Wonderful descriptions of the miserly sister and ostentatiously sickly cousin. A joy.
