A recommendation at Barnes and Noble, I picked this up and decided to take it home. In the style of Terry Brooks, this is a fantasy read with far less characters and plot lines running. In a genre that rarely seems to come up with new ideas, I found it refreshing and familiar. It's a 700 page read that is casual and spends its time unfolding, but not in a painful drudgery way. The sequel comes out March 1 and I'm totally going to grab it.
