This series was another Luyet recommendation and of course it was good. They warned me "this is completely a fantasy series", but who better to recommend books from that genre? I did like the beginning of this series better than the end, just because 1) the characters were fresh and 2) I read them all back to back. Book #4 was slightly repetitive and #5 was a little slow. But I still cared about the characters till the end. I enjoyed that the main character was a teen boy, a perspective I don't read from often. It had enough gore and fighting in it to make it enjoyable to other male teens, I would guess.
