This is the only book I've ever read that left me with a feeling of dispair. I was still thinking about this book 6 months after I'd read it. It was so powerful - the writer has an uncanny way of evoking raw emotion from the reader. She wasn't afraid to go to some very, very dark places with her writing. One of the best books I've ever read, it not THE best.
