a great book on fasting. i also enjoyed the shout out to koreans. funny how koreans are stereotyped as being passionate about prayer. christians can be so prejudicial sometimes.
Another book I couldn't put down!! Imagine having being born with a twin you never knew you had because in a life changing moment your twin was given away because he/she wasn't viewed as "normal." This book was set back in the 60's when down syndrome was not accepted as it is today. Children who were born with abnormalities were sent away to institutions as what was supposed to happen in this story. Being someone who grew up babysitting a little boy with downs i felt like i could personally relate to the character who would raise and be the mother to this otherwise views cast away by her father. This book was full of emotion as i read it and the chapters flashed between two separate family lives following both of the twins as they grow and mature. I felt anger, sadness and depression, excitement, happiness, and towards the end i felt like a personal cheerleader! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read!
Love it!!! My favorite book...
