I didn't like the vagueness that underlined everything, being that is, what participants were thinking, feeling or even doing. I honestly didn't get some of it, even the grand finale was a bit confusing, but the idea for it was brilliant, the people were instantly likable and different from the usual take on were animals, vampires or angels...when Sagara is telling a story about something that has happened in the past its the best part of it, its less muddled up with undercurrents, she has inserted everywhere, sadly even to the simplest situations. The romance was almost non-existent, but there was lots of potential for it, to milk the heartbreaking sadness of the childhood and what brought Severn and Kayla so close to each other. It didnt happen in this book, maybe it will get more intense in the next ones.
