Good mixture of romance and laughter, adventure and intrigue.

A very different plot and characters in this novel about a wealthy man in Wisconsin at the turn of the century who advertises and gets a wife from the city. What he doesn't know and she doesn't tell him is that she has a history which is somewhat nefarious. Despite oneself, the reader relates to this couple even more as the strange events unfold. This was a good escape read. I missed the discussion but enjoyed reading the book. The pages turn quickly.
