Blue Moon is the second installment to The Immortals series. I have to say, the similarities to Twilight are striking, and Summerland reminded me of The Realms from The Gemma Doyle Trilogy. With that said, I still enjoyed the book a great deal, for Damen, if nothing else. Actually, Damen is the only reason I like this series, how sad. All in all, the love story is a bit hokey, but the concept is a good one. It’s more than a little grating that Ever’s stupidity has prolonged her joining Damen, yet again. It’s been four hundred years, come on! Which leads me to my next point, Ever. Dear God, she is the dumbest heroine I have ever encountered. Looking back, I have no idea why I enjoyed this book at all. If you are a sucker for love stories, and don’t mind reading the thoughts of a naïve girl, read Blue Moon.
