This book is often ready by high school students. I think this is a big mistake. Not many high schoolers have the life experience to really understand Gatsby's point of view, and I think you even have to be past your undergraduate idealism and smack dab in the middle of your jaded twenties and thirties to really like this book. I didn't like a single one of the characters, yet I loved the book.
