This was 4-star worthy until House bailed out and went with the "Twenty years later..." final chapter. Twas pretty cool reading about a boy named Eli growing up in Kentucky, though. And since I finished this on a retreat with students during my first week of school at my new school, this novel will always be with me, as sort of a marker of the beginning of my teaching days here in Lou-Uh-vull.
