I don't have time to read grown up books at the moment so I'm rereading some children's books... But wait a minute, what the hell am I complaining about? It's Roald Dahl for crying out loud! Brilliant and the perfect story for where I am right now!

Just finished Goodbye, Columbus and half of one of the other short stories---very well written, accessible and somehow timeless. Goodbye, Columbus brings Catcher in the Rye to mind for me. Glad to have finally read Philip Roth.
