This book started off with such great promise of self-discovery... I just couldn't reconcile it with her decision in the end. It was like driving to the edge of adventure only to turn around, pull into your driveway and close the garage door after you. I didn't read the last few pages on account of it - BUT there are some great revelations and fantastic quotes along the way.

Loved the notion of a picture book, but the characters were unsympathetic and ultimately I couldn't care less about the story
