I really enjoyed this tale of Venice. The title refers to the fact that there was a church that was so run down that stone angels were falling off it. Interesting characters highlighted in what seems like a small town. Focus is on mostly expats, but also notable Venetians.

A pretty good story...Put you in the time period pretty well--even with all the troubles of today, there are some perks to living in this time.
