Hiçbir şey devrimci değil, sadece kolay ve eğlenceli bir okuma.
This book is definitely a page turner. Page's life is on a downward spiral. A car accident changed her family forever. The driver is killed, three passengers are hurt -- including her teenage daughter. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Why these road bumps are actually blessings in disguise. The book reminds of a Lifetime movie. It's worth your time to check out!
A good, well-written book by Nancy and Lawrence Goldstone about their introduction into the world of book collecting. The authors do a good job describing the process of how they became interested in book-collecting, starting with inexpensive used books and then becoming involved in collecting more expensive rare books. When the authors describe the various bookstores, they do so in a way that puts the reader *in* the store. You can almost smell the musty smell in some of the stores. Their descriptions of the book dealers, bookstores, and their searches for various books makes for a great read.
Academia, Shakespeare, and cross-dressing, oh my. Unsurprisingly, I was most excited about the latter, and while there wasn't actually a lot of it, I was still able to enjoy this slight, if charming, story. I don't normally read historicals this short, so I was a bit disappointed by the lack of character depth in Ellen and Jim, and the very modern tenor to their characters was sometimes jarring, but I still found them and their antics delightful.
A fun read about the history learned about a haggadah through its conservation.
