A fun book. Very similar on the surface to Daemon, but less thriller, more 80s nerdery. I enjoyed it a lot but there were times I just wanted to skip past too much detail on some technical or 80s pop culture thing.

Dragon Spell (and the other 4 books in the DragonKeeper Chronicles) is a nice, easy, fun read. This review is going to stand as my review for the series because each book is just as good as the one before and the other after. Pros: Great characters that you can really connect with and understand Smooth, quick, and easy reading that is fun Fun, action filled storyline that still explains the many fantastic names, words, etc. Cons: The entire book builds to the climax (exciting and fun) but then it's resolved in a way that left me saying, "What?! That's it?! Just like that?!" ...I hope that makes sense, I don't want to spoil anything. The books are sequenced but not connected (within the series) beyond characters and places Over all, I enjoyed reading them. They are exactly the type of book I like to read late at night because they are in my genre but my brain can basically shut-off while I read... :D Don't expect an epic or a hugely complex tale. Also, know before you start that once it's over, it's over. The series continues but each book is really a stand-alone story/event/timeline.
