Subrata Das Das itibaren Habib Abad, Pakistan
This book was amazing!! One of my favorites in a long while, I immediately went and reserved the rest of the series. I love Georgie!
Yes, offensive at times, but also laugh-out-loud funny.
I read this book as research for adapting Joanne's lastest novel to a screenplay, but definitely enjoyed it. She tells a great story with interesting and somewhat complex characters. As often is the case, the novel is better than the film (2000 Oscar nominated "Chocolat").
Such an unusual story that even the slower points hold interest. It seemed that this would be an extremely difficult book to write-- and considering the diffculties posed by a time-traveling character in a linear love-story, it is immensely readable. While the writing itself is certainly not off the charts, it has moments of touching language and beauty. A good, quick read.
