See, I don't remember much from If I Stay. Of course, that means I didn't understand much of this one. Still, the writing was good, and the characters were realistic, although Mia seemed a bit flat.

This book is based on a real event: after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, one of the returning pilots crashed on the island of Niihau. The story is very interesting and I was glad to learn more about the history of Niihau.
