Often compared to Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow, and it's worthy of the comparison. I need to read this one again. I was impressed and a bit overwhelmed by it the first time. Like Pynchon, Delany deconstructs even the act of reading in his work, so don't bother if you are expecting a straightforward tale. One thing I can say about both this book and Gravity's Rainbow: I have never stopped thinking about them, or the unforgettable experience of reading them.
