I have mixed feelings about this book published by Dorrance Publishing. The book seemed choppy and did not transition well. I found myself lost and confused many times. Megan, the main character, frequently talked to a "ghost" Lianne for advice. The book never explained why she did that or elaborated about that. Was it her conscience talking? It was confusing the way Megan floated between the men in the story. For most of the book, I believed that she genuinely loved Gared. She ended up with Robert Ridgely. He abused her twice. I find it hard to believe he was her "true love". The historic person that they met in the end was a pleasant surprise. I liked the way the author tied this person in to the story. I will not give his name because I do not want to spoil the book. I think the author should have introduced this person earlier in the book.
