Grandpa finds a fox on the ice, and it helps him return home safely.
I liked it. The movie was whack compare to the book. The movie skipped a lot of the good parts!
Pretty good book. But I felt like it was a little childish for me as far as the conversations between the characters went. Good plot, just seemed as though it was a bit out of my age bracket.
When it first came out: I've read this to myself, and really liked it. Now I need a group to read it to. Very cute. A year later: Groups LOVE this!!
"Scrotum-tightening sea" ??? Yes! On the one hand I like how Joyce gets super aggro with the word construction and general linguistic weirdness. On the other hand, I am clearly not man enough to get through this book even with on-line cliff's notes to help me. I made it to the end of chapter three, and I'm unsure at this juncture as to whether I will ever actually pick this book up and complete it. I'm not ruling it out, but it doesn't look likely. In honor of its literary insurmountabilityishness, I have created a new bookshelf-tag.
