The story itself was a great read, but in some areas it did tend to drag as I found myself skipping pages, without losing the flow of the storyline. I never thought I would be reading such a book, but to expand my horizons I need to get out of my comfort reading zone. I enjoyed Part 2 Close Quarters the most. Towards the end I was starting to find the main character infuriating.

I really liked it. It deviated from the first six in format though, in that this was all about taking down He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. The Half-blood Prince (#6) is definitely my favorite of the series. One thing I didn't like was the Epilogue. It felt like it was crammed in there. Harry Potter fan all the way though. Great fun!!

This book is wonderfully irreverent and so fresh. If you've an open mind and a bit of a sick sense of humor, I highly recommend this!

I think this is the best book!

I always wished I was Matilda. I was a lot like her growing up (without the terrible family), but I wished that the magic would also happen to me. Roald Dahl is the most amazing author ever.
