Kat, a thirteen-year-old daughter of a medium, begins to see and hear from spirits herself. Normally a loner, and shunned in middle school, Kat befriends Jac, a gifted cellist. Both girls have trouble accepting and using their gifts, but Kat overcomes her fears and helps both girls come into their own, while helping a friend with the ghostly problems the novel presents. Good book for middle school-aged girls.

I read this book several years ago and liked it then, it is a good book and written by a knowledgeable anthropologist with a keen sense of what we are all about. I recommend it highly.
