At times frustrating, at times intriguing, always thought-provoking. In the end I wasn't entirely convinced of his hypothesis - in part because I wasn't ever entirely sure I fully understood it. It would be a great book to use for a discussion circle. If I had to boil the book down to a simple "takeaway" message, it would be that money is a social creation, which means that we can re-create it in ways that better serve both our common human needs, and our individual purposes: it needn't be an abstract force, 'out there' and dominating our world and our lives.
