Bu kitap Avustralya'yı çok sıkıcı kıldı. Kanguru ve ördek gagalı platypusları olduğu düşünüldüğünde bana bir başarı gibi geliyor. Platypusi?

Once the introduction to Joe Ledger was over and done with, this book just captivated me. I love tough hard guy action heroes and zombies - and this didn't go easy on either of them! The terrorist spin on this was great and it was a real pacy read. The perfect book for me to get my kicks from. I'm worried about reading the sequel in case it doesn't meet up to the standards of the first.

Unbelievable story! How could any child survive such abuse?? What a brave and courageous man Mr. Pelzer is. I commend him for having the strength and courage to come out of this alive.

One of our Thursdays is missing is quite a bit different than any other book in the series, and is certainly not my favorite. It's still plenty quirky, fun, and thought provoking, but has a very different feel. The story seems to move a little slower than the others and wraps up without quite as much oomph. Frieda leaves the ending open to the possibility of more Thursday Next books. As much as I love the series, I also don't want to see it overworked. First among sequels was a pleasant surprise in a series that I thought was over. One of our Thursdays is Missing makes me wonder if it isn't time for Thursday to hang upper badge.

I read the English version of this Italian Book. Cuore by Isabel Florence Hapgood. I enjoyed this book because of it's simplicity and the lessons in it. It is a story about a school boy and his diary. There are many stories, lessons really of empathy, goodness and kindness. Lessons he was taught by his parents and teachers. It really is a lovely book and the lessons of years ago should be taught more in today's society.

Are kids pen pals anymore? It seems like hardly anyone writes letters these days and it seems especially unlikely children would do it. Email seems more likely. Although the mode of communication Elliot and Kailash use seems anachronistic, the story is enjoyable and the illustrations are vibrant.
