I read this book for a class and was shocked by how much I enjoyed it. The themes of being rejected by others for reasons beyond an individuals self-control are the truly haunting themes of this book. I was surprised how much my heart went out to the monster.È

Okay book, not the best writing, but easy to read and descriptive. Made me really, really grateful for everything, and everyone, I have! I would like to see an updated version, for 2009+, after the financial crisis.
