Didn't like this as much as her other novels, but still an okay read

What a copout of an ending! I was SO MAD!

A benchmark for space-opera/sci-fi, this is a well-written, interesting book. Herbert uses great characters to drive the story rather than succumbing to the temptation to dwell upon the detailed and rich background he has provided for his players. The future he portrays is both familiar and believeable (once you accept the spice/navigator idea). Read this before you watch either film adaptation.

Really interesting....easy to read, makes you appreciate having a sweet american mother :)
