I won this book on the goodreads giveaways, though I'm not sure why I requested it because memoirs are not really my cup of tea. (It seems like you have to be pretty egotistical to think other people want to read about your life.) Anyway, I did enjoy most of this story. The writing was good. The overall storyline was about friendship. I don't know if I've ever had such a friend as Gail and Caroline were, so it was enchanting to read about. I did get bored of Gail's problems with alcohol (totally can't relate and didn't think there needed to be so many details), and her obsession with her dog. I am not an animal-lover so I didn't quite "get it," but I figure it's similar to how I feel about my children. It was a decent read overall.
