I wish they still published books in volumes. I love this book, but its length still intimidates me a little.

This was not one of my favorites of Kristin Hannah. The story started out slow and about a young woman but then the story became about the mother in the book. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed the book but I was kind of upset with the story line. I think that's what took me so long to finish the book. I can understand the feelings and issues of the story but I just felt like I couldn't wrap myself around it, submit myself to the characters and their actions. No one should ever have to experience what Jude experienced in this book but with that said, sometimes I just wanted to reach into the book and smack her and say "Snap out of it". I love Kristin Hannah and her stories and this one was no exception. I have mixed feelings. Read the book...don't let my review stop you. It was a wonderful story. It just didn't sit well with me.

I terrific read for the budding oenophile. I've used it often as a reference to create www.vinapedia.net.

A creative novel. I don't think anyone will forget the character Olive Kitteridge! She's a piece of work!

Great insight into 19th century life. Great insight into the workings of the female mind. Wonderful novel with pure motives throughout.
