brilliant history, not only of the sex pistols, but of the whole punk movement and cultural turmoil in britain at the time. i would love to sit down and have a cup of tea and a chat with jon savage, his knowledge is encyclopaedic.

This book is quirky, Douglas Adams was probably quirky though I never had the pleasure of meeting him. I have paid my respects at his grave in Highgate Cemetery. This book is a fabulous, ironic, imaginative and wild ride through the universe. The work of a creative genius.

Great read, especially for young (high school) readers. Excellent study of Dutch Art. Found myself referring constantly to the actualy paintings online as I read the book and was amazed at the way the author was able to weave the fictional story around the artwork and the historical setting of the time. Beautifully written, however, you never feel completely connected with the main character. She remains inaccessible which I found irritating because I wanted to really root for her, but ultimately couldn't.
