I hate it when I run out of books while traveling and have to rely on airport bookstores, because it always forces me to pick up stuff I wouldn't usually give the time of day, but this was surprisingly good for being a jingoist patriotic adventure novel. The usual problems -- clunky language, overabundance of telling instead of showing, contrived plot that you see a mile away -- but it managed to be entertaining despite that.
I only finished this book because it was the book club selection this month. I found Mamah to be a very disappointing heroine. If all the suffragists were like her it's really no surprise that women are still fighting for equal pay and that it took so long for women to get the right to vote.
Um livro extremamente poético e bonito
Absolutely excellent read. The only book I've read by Mezrich- in fact I can't even name another by the guy- but he's my number 3 on my list of favorite authors.
Breathtaking. I reached a point where I prefer this over The Hunger Games. Loved it soooo much. I can't wait to read the second book!
