The writing style in this book takes some getting used to. After about 20 pages, you really can't understand why you would want it written any other way. I gave this book 5 stars because it kept my attention consistently throughout the book, there was never a moment when I actually wanted to set it down (darn work and sleep). Saba and Lugh are twins who have spent their entire lives in a dust filled shanty with only their little sister, Emmi, and their pa. But they're ok with it as long as they're together. Then one day Lugh gets taken away, and Saba will stop at nothing to find him. This is not one of your typical mamby pamby stories about a girl who relies only on luck and other people to find her brother. She does rely on help, but the book would be boring if this were a solo mission. This girl will stop at nothing to find him, from being captured and forced to cage fight to rallying up an entire army. This book was non stop action and that's why i absolutely loved it.
