I was so excited to read this book. I mean steampunk zombies? Steampunk zombies with romance? Sign me up! But... I was disappointed to find that it wasn't quite steampunk. I mean it have some steampunk elements to it, but not as much as I would have hoped for. I'm not going to lie--it was slow. The chapters jumped around to different characters points of view, and normally I love that. But there were too many in this one. There were times where I forgot who's chapter it was and thought it was someone else's. I thought that Victor's chapters were probably the most boring out of all of them. I was a bit hesitant of Nora at first but really warmed up to her as the book progressed. I surprisingly loved Pamela's chapters and I really wished there were more in the book. And Bram. I never knew zombies could be so hot. Total swoon. Despite the slow beginning, the book got really good towards the end. In fact I'm excited to get my hands on book two! Once I got used to the universe and the jumping perspectives I really enjoyed it.
