well written and not hard to read. once i got into it i didn't want to put it down. i enjoyed his style of writing, although i wish the end had a bit more to it. the theme of using children to fight made me think of the hunger games trilogy; and although both are enjoyable and action packed, i liked EG more. the concepts are a bit higher in this book and they take things to the next level whereas some things in HGT are brought to the table but not brought to fruition.
