1954 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. İlk ve orta öğretimini Ankara'da Anıttepe İlkokulu ile TED Ankara Koleji'nde tamamladı. Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, İnşaat Mühendisliği Bölümü'nden 1978 de mezun oldu, 1980 de Yüksek Mühendis unvanı aldı. istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi inşaat Fakültesi'nde, 1990 da Doktor unvanını aldı, 1991 de Yardımcı Doçent, 1993 de Doçent ve 2000 de Profesör kadrosuna atandı. Sekiz tane kitabı (2 tanesi Türkiye Bilimler Akademisi-TÜBA-"Kayda Değer Eser Ödülü" almıştır), bir tane editörlüğü, 17 tanesi SCI kapsamında uluslararası dergilerde olmak üzere hakem denetiminden geçerek yayınlanmış toplam 51 tane bilimsel yayını ve 137 adet uluslararası atıfı vardır. İTÜ de çeşitli idari görevlerde bulundu. Ulusal/Uluslararası araştırma projelerinde koordinatörlük görevleri de yürütmüş olan yazar evli ve iki kız çocuğu babasıdır. Daha fazla göster. The first part of this book made me hungry, the middle part made me sick of hearing about food, and the last part had me reading fast. By about page 20, I was sick of the term "hoo-hah." With that out of the way, More Than Fiends was different from other books I have read in this genre, and somewhat refreshing. There was humor and I enjoyed the inner dialogue of the main character. If this was a stand-alone novel, I would have been disappointed, but since it is not, it set the scene for a potentially fun series. It was slow moving in the beginning, but I suppose that can sometimes be expected from book one in a series. By the end of the book though, the main character is more comfortable with her new "job" and adjusting to her personal life as well, so I think book two is where more adventure will begin.
