I liked this book the more I read of it. It is easy to read and yet it deals with complex ideas like what makes us human. This book is about a teenager who awakens after a tragic accident that forced her parents into an illegal procedure to save the essence of their daughter by using biotechnology. Their daughter is unaware of what her parents have done at first. As she realizes that she is mostly a creation she raises questions about what she really is and who she will be. Other issues are raised about the use of advanced technologies to save people and the use of government and regulation to decided who lives and who dies. The issues are dealt with really well and in a way so understandable and easily read for even the reluctant high school and middle school reader.
