Sezen Aksu - Söylüyor (CD)
I love this book, because it has some suspense but not in a scary way. It is funny and interesting at the same time!! It was awesome!

I REALLY enjoyed this book. To me, every page was interesting, maybe since I knew nothing about the "lives" of human cadavers. The book is packed with information and yet is as smooth and readable as any other bestseller. I'd really like to give it five stars, but there were a few things that I didn't enjoy. Many of the chapters included historical accounts of animal experimentation which were difficult for me to read. This isn't a flaw in the book, but just something that was distasteful to me personally. But I was also a little annoyed by the fact that Roach wasn't even close to being a neutral reporter. I felt like she pushed an anti-burial, anti-cremation agenda that was fueled by her own disdain for religion and tradition. That said, I enjoyed her voice very much for the most part. She was witty and casual throughout, never pedantic, and I found myself chuckling aloud at her dry, dark humor. Again, I liked this book a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone interested in anatomy, the history of medicine, or quirky trivia in general. Of course, it is a book about dead bodies and there is plenty that's cringe-worthy. Stiff is certainly not for the squeamish, but I liked it!
