I liked the book, but there were parts that seemed quite odd to me. As you will see on the book jacket, the story is about a party where South American rebels take hostages. I guess I didn't feel like any of the characters were as concerned as they should be about being taken hostage. There was an underlying apathy to all of their reactions that made it a little hard to grasp the gravity of their situation. All in all, it is a good read and one I would recommend for discussion in a group. It will bring up many interesting reactions from different viewpoints
